Home Delivery
Home Delivery is a service provided to Plymouth/Terryville residents who are homebound according to the definition as set by Medicare and for households that have unexpected emergencies.
Medicare considers you homebound if:
- You need the help of another person or medical equipment such as crutches, a walker, or a wheelchair to leave your home
- Your doctor believes that your health or illness could get worse if you leave your home
- It is difficult for you to leave your home and you typically cannot do so
Your doctor should decide if you are homebound based on their evaluation of your condition. A note, to the Plymouth Community Food Pantry, written on the doctor’s letterhead, stating that they believe you are homebound for any reason stated above, will qualify you to receive home delivery.
Deliveries are made on Monday and Friday, with up to five deliveries (depending on staffing) made on each of those days. There will be two types of deliveries considered on each of the days:
- Guaranteed Deliveries: These are customers considered homebound under the definition of Medicare. Each of these customers have been assigned a day in the two-week rotation of deliveries. If they do not submit an order on their assigned day, they will have to wait until their next assigned day occurs to shop or shop as a customer in the category below.
- Miscellaneous Deliveries: These are for customers who do not qualify as homebound. On any given Monday or Friday, a customer may submit an order with the hope that there are delivery spaces available. Customers with unexpected emergencies will be first to receive an open space followed by any other customer on a first come first serve basis.

Donate
Every household pantry runs low at some time. The Plymouth Community Food Pantry is no different. You can help us by donating some of the items listed below. These items hardly ever change because we seldom receive them from our partner, Connecticut Foodshare. We usually purchase them. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated
