Senior Personal Care Program
Personal Care for Seniors Program
The Plymouth Community Food Pantry has created the Personal Care for Seniors Program to serve Plymouth residents who are customers of the Food Pantry and age 65 or older. The Pantry, through grants and charitable contributions, has made a commitment to consistently provide a selection of personal care products that will meet the needs of seniors. This program will include items needed for incontinence, hygiene, dental, foot and eye care, first aid and sundries along with one-time items and vouchers to purchase health related items at Thomaston Pharmacy. There will be an area within the Pantry dedicated to this program separate from the general Personal Care section. Go to Programs Personal Care Items , and view what we are currently offering under .
The policies of the program are listed below:
- Incontinence Products will be available every time the senior customer shops.
- Households with Seniors only will be able to select two personal care products twice per month. If they shop a third time in the month, they will select one item for their household from the general Personal Care area.
- Households with Seniors and other family members will be able to select two personal care products twice per month from the Senior section and one item for the remainder of the household from the general Personal Care area. If they shop a third time in the month, they will select one item for the household from the general Personal Care area.
- One Time Products will be available throughout the year.
- Vouchers will be available every three months. They are valid at Thomaston Pharmacy and may be used for the purchase of vitamins, supplements, probiotics, or over the counter medicine. To receive a new voucher every three months, the previously allotted voucher must have been used.
Part of our Mission Statement is to provide wellness programs. We hope you are happy with the products we have selected for this program and invite you to provide suggestions that may improve this service. It is our wish that the Personal Care for Seniors Program meets some of your health needs and keeps you well.
Donate
Every household pantry runs low at some time. The Plymouth Community Food Pantry is no different. You can help us by donating some of the items listed below. These items hardly ever change because we seldom receive them from our partner, Connecticut Foodshare. We usually purchase them. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated
